Sean Fitzthum is a distinguished photographer based in Long Island, New York, renowned for his evocative cityscapes, dynamic concert imagery, and compelling travel photography. His artistic journey began in 2010 when he made the bold decision to leave a lucrative career in the space industry to pursue his passion for the arts.
Sean's educational background includes studies at the Art Institute of New York City, where he honed his skills in photography, illustration, and design. His work reflects a deep appreciation for New York's cultural richness, often capturing the city's vibrant energy and diverse landscapes. ​He also recently received a Computer Sciences degree from the Island Drafting and Technical Institute. 
His dedication to the craft has earned him significant recognition, including ten 'Photograph of the Month' awards from the Wantagh, L.I., website. In 2020, the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce honored him for this achievement, acknowledging his contributions to the local arts scene. ​
Beyond his personal projects, Sean has collaborated with notable organizations, serving as a teaching artist for the Josephine Herricks Project. He also brings his expertise to Nikon as a Technical Supervisor, where he combines his technical acumen with his artistic vision. ​
A U.S. Army veteran, Sean's diverse experiences have enriched his perspective, infusing his photography with a unique blend of discipline and creativity. His work has been featured on major news outlets such as News 12, NBC 4 News, Fox 5 News, and NY1, further cementing his status as a prominent figure in the photography community.
